This weekend I went for a quick climb up Mount Tibrogargan, one of the Glasshouse Mountains on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I tried this earlier in the year but bailed due to the rocks being too wet to climb safely. It took about 1.5 hours of constant climbing to get up, and another hour to get down. This would be as steep as I would want to go before thinking about using ropes. Here is the journey in pics:

If you didnt read these, you'd find out soon enough

Victory! View from the top:

The mountain on the left is a bit bigger than this one. If it doesnt rain the plan is to climb it next weekend.

All in all, it was a good afternoon (especially since I didnt fall off).

That looks like a blast - And I agree with you, that looks pretty steep - anything else I'd want some ropes.

Beautiful views.

Amazing, great pic suncleh! My wife has really taken to boulder and wants to get into more outdoors technical climbing...but that's one she would love to scramble up! Beautiful area, thanks for sharing,

Man, that looked fun! Really great pics there too.

Looks like fun. Great pics, but only one problem -- you've got to cut something with the knife to finish it off (and take pics of course:)).

nice looking hike (climb may be a better term). sounds like fun, and i wish you luck on that other mountain.

Very cool looking climb, thanks for sharing. Beautiful country and I hear it's very friendly as well. The wife of my wifes boss just returned from your neck of the woods. I don't know exactly what part of your beautiful country she was in, but she was estatic over your homeland when she returned.
