This large Bowie has a 14 1/2" blade of thousand layer "staggered ladder" pattern damascus forged from 5160, 15N20, L6, 1084 & 1018 steels with forge-marked/etched flats (you can see the damascus pattern even in the forge-marked areas). The full knuckle guard, threaded pommel & finial are all forged from "wagon wheel" wrought iron and have file worked accents. The handle itself is A+ grade Sambar Stag with a throat of stabilized Mammoth leg bone with copper/black and red brass spacers. The fully tooled leather blade sheath has Fish skin (Carp) inlays dyed by Tess, a matching belt loop (loop and back are fully tooled as well) and a Moose hide leg cord (black Para-cord as well). This piece has an overall length of 21 1/4".
Price, with leather sheath: $2,500.00, plus shipping.

I got to handle this piece over the weekend. Don't let the giant size fool you, it's not at all heavy or cumbersome. The pics of this one don't do the damascus justice, it's got an awesome pattern and a great luster to it. Of course, all I wanted to do was go and chop on a log once I had this one in my hand. :)
