On further thought, Vic should include the nail file texture on ALL scissors. Trim nails with scissors then file smooth. So logical!!!

But Vic doesn't do it.

It does baffle me sometimes why that hook is not installed on every SAK? But I guess they have made so many millions of knives/tools that probably even a small change like that might alter the bottom line for them.



No experience in this, but to think outside the box, maybe acid itching to create an uneven patterned surface? I was a few youtube videoes for making file, pretty interesting process, but personally, I'd much rather to find individual tool or 2nd hand broken blade SAK on ebay than to make one myself.

If you do a search here, you can find a thread asking why the Compact is so expensive. I'm pretty sure that narrow rough file on the hook is a factor. I don't know how they create it, but I seriously doubt it is something you can do yourself.
