I am monting this thing by myself and it weighs a ton. This thing has to slip onto the stand with very little/ no space for getting a grip on it. Now I'm wondering if I couldn't just bolt this sucket to a table with a wooden top that I already have. Any comment will be welcome.

I just put the saw on the floor and tilted it on its side then slid the stand in. It said in the directions that the stand went on the outside of the saw's body but it actually went the other way. Then it said screw into the threaded holes, but it actually had non threaded holes and bolts with nuts. I just did this this past week so i wouldn't be surprised if yours is the same way.

Thanks, FROGFISH,
That rig for a clampable table in the photo, posted by Buchesforge,

is just the thing for larger units, too. I was looking for a simple way to cut stock in the vertical position on my 7X12. My unit does most of its work as a horizontal saw, but I often wish that I could quickly convert it to vertical without bolting on the flimsy cutting table and all. With a simple clamp on table (the vise on a 7X12 is much bigger and stronger than a 4X6,too ) I will have a rock steady table and be able to cut flat stock and sheet down easily. The other pluses for the 7X12 are a wider throat clearance, and the coolant pump for the blade.
I may just get rid of my 4X6 (Configured as a dedicated vertical) ,and clear some floor space. I may not be able to get to it until after the Holidays, but will post photos when done.
