Mounting Milwaukee portable band saw?

Alright well thanks to everyone my imagination kicked up and I just gave it a go and I did it! :)
Here are some pictures of the stand. It's really ugly but it works!

Tell me what I can do to it to make it better and I will try. Thank you!
P.s. What common store sells foot switches?

That is pretty much what I was describing. Learning to miter the joints at the mating angles will give you stronger and better looking fixtures and jigs.

Make a cardboard template of the bottom angle and cut two triangular pieces that fit along the side of the handle. They should go from just above the power cord to where the handle touches the bottom board. They should cradle the handle ,leaving just enough handle exposed for the trigger to be pulled back by a tie-wrap or a wooden wedge. Replace the short blocks with them. Place two short strips along side the motor housing to brace the saw from slipping sideways.
Add a piece of 2X4 along the outside of the upright so it sticks out above the top handle. This will brace the handle and give a firm place to run the top tie-wrap around.

It might be better to cut a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" sheet metal to replace the wood table. I would not make it stick out so far without some sort of brace below it, either. That is a lot of torque on two small screws. It only needs to stick out about 4". I don't think the wooden table will last long. without breaking at the screw holes.

When all is done and works good, remove the saw and paint the mount red :)

Those are some great ideas!
About the sheet metal. I can't find anywhere close that sells any.. Closest scrap yard is about half an hour away.

The swag off road plate works like a charm - i have the vise model

Not to be argumentative, but it seems that after you consider the materials needed to construct a mount and add in your time in both acquiring and assembling the mount, the price of the vise mount model at about $50 is quite reasonable. Your call, though. Either way I wish you the best of luck.

As long as arguments are positive I don't see why not :) To me every dollar counts and it's taken about 2 days to figure this one out. It didn't cost anything because I used the little scrap wood I have but I was looking for something around the 20$ range if at all possible. I was also thinking if i'm going to spend over 50$ for the lesser model I'll just go for the better model for 20$ more.
Just my thought though.
