I am seeing the "Mouse II" mentioned and have to wonder what is the difference between the Mouse II and the Mouse I. Everyone knows that I am a Wegner fan and have to buy any collaborations that are Wegner designed. Can anyone give the scoop?

AFAIK "Mouse II" isn't being manufactured by Spyderco, and will have a thumbstud instead of a hole.

Received word from Tim it would be okay to post Specs and a photo of the Proto-Mouse II. Posted on Spyderco Forum but graphics SW crashed and would not resize. Best to y'all.

Blade-Tech's Mouse II

The Mouse II is Tim Wegners evolution of the Mouse and will be manufactured and sold through his Blade-Tech Industries company in Clearwater Washington. The Mouse II will retain the same successful dimensions as the original Mouse and features a flat ground S30V blade with additional traction grooves near the blade tip for improved control, a smoothed triangular “V-Hole” opening, and ambidextrous pocket clip. The Mouse II will be offered in a choice of G-10 or carbon fiber scales.

• Blade Steel S30V • Blade Length 1.875" • Blade-Tech V-Hole • Choice of G-10 or Carbon Fiber Scales • Ambidextrous Pocket Clip • Overall Open Length 4.937" • Overall Closed Length 3.062" • MSRP: G-10 $87.95 - Carbon Fiber $119.95

The larger Spyderco-Wegner C48 collaboration will continue to be manufactured by Blade-Tech as the Pro Hunter and is upgraded to an S30V flat grind blade. It retains its nested linerlock and will have the ambidextrous tip up/tip down clip. As with the Mouse II, the Pro Hunter will be available with G-10 or Carbon fiber scales. Suggested retail prices will be around $139.95 for G-10 and $169.95 for carbon fiber model

Blade-Tech Industries is expecting to have the Mouse II available to the public toward the end of February. Mr. Wegner is planning to have sample of both the Mouse II and his new Pro Hunter available at the SHOT show in Orlando, FL.

Many thanks to Tim and the crew at Blade-Tech for their hard work in continuing the evolution of these superb knives and for their leadership in providing lightweight, practical custom sheaths and accessories for cutlery and firearms.

And Revolvergeek: Thanks for the heads up, treat them Meeses well, and I still owe you one!

Thanks java! If you would like you can email me the photo and I will resize and post it.

Holy cow! The large Wegner will be made again, by Blade-tech, with S30V!?!?!

Thank you soooo much. I love that knife. Any idea on release dates?

Thanks for the pics. All this talk about the Mouse has me looking in my knife boxes for mine!

Okay, so we've seen Mouse I and Mouse II (thank HEAVENS it doesn't have a thumb stud!), so this becomes the question: which would you get? I mean, I'd go for the CF, but I mean is it the Mouse I or II? Decisions, decisions...

Is the photo that shootist16 has a link to not the "Mouse II" or is it the "Mouse II" and Carlos was mistaken in saying it would have a thumbstud instead of a hole.

I'm getting confused

I think the prototype I saw had a thumbstud, but the production model as you see has a blade hole.

Very cool little knife. Thanks for the pictures guys.. :)
