Where can i find information on this model.
As it was experimental, how many were produced?
What is the correct model designation?
What time frame was it sold?
How much msrp?
Why was it discontinued?
Was it ever listed in Spyderco literature?
I believe the handles were Almite coated aluminum ,is that correct?
And the blade steel was VG-10.
There are 2 (?) variations ,regular & "church" mouse ,both in Pe ,is that correct?
Any info greatly appreciated!
thanks,regards,rick.

The knife was designed by Tim Wegner.

Tim currently produces the design under the trade name "Bladetech", both domestic and imported.

The model was discontinued for several reasons; sales had slowed down and we had to make room for another new product. Tim had opened his own knife company and wanted to make the model himself.

As I remember, there were 1200 pcs made, 100 had Tim's church symbol engraved on the blade for the members of his church.

Unfortunately, I didn't get in on the Spyderco version :( , but I do have the BladeTech in G10,S30v. It's a nice knife. Zen's pic shows both versions...that Spyderco looks great, doesn't it?

I think Tim Wegner refers to this as a mouse size knife for moose size jobs.

:)

Sorry, I didn't respond to the price question. I don't know what the Spydies are bringing, but the BT Mouse can be had for approx $65 (G10, S30V), $85 (CF, S30V) and $35 (FRN, 440c).
