Dan, Just a question or two on the knives you are taking apart and modifying, who is now going to warranty the handles and installation?
Could we possibly see a picture of your press that you are using to install the handle rivets? Thanks

Well, I am not talking them apart, as I just don't have time or the knowledge. George has done some work on them. On this particular knife, he only changed the handles from two different knives and added liners. But the blades are still under Busse Warranty because they are not altered in any way. And I believe if he should strip and re-finish the blade itself, I don't see why it would not be under the factory warranty, as they are not re-ground or have any sever changes. Many people have stripped their blades and I know that Busse still will honor the warranty. As for the handles, they should still be under warranty as they have not been changed in any way either. George will warranty the liners he does add and the tube fasteners that he installs. If any of his work alters and affects the blade as that it is to affect the performance of the knife, he will also warranty that.

No he does not work for Busse. George is a stealth HOG, he has a personal collection of Busse about as large as mine if not larger. He is just doing a bit of work on his own collection and some for me. He knows his stuff. He does a great job with the Satin/Mirror work and is pretty good with the liners and currently working on some other stuff. He would like to remain stealth at this point because he isn't really taking on any work as of right now but stands behind his work 100%. If there are any issues or questions, please feel free to email me directly at liukang187@yahoo.com
