Movie knife (S.W.A.T)

I was watching S.W.A.T from 2003,in one scene the villain lays his knife on the table and tells a quick story about it's origins.Does any body know what type of knife it was?From memory it looked to be a texas toothpick

I don't think its your standard langolille, those have a strong back lock, and he flicks it open with little trouble. I think you catch a quick hint of a linerlock at one point.

Are you talking about his father's knife? It's a Laguiole. That knife had the weakest spring of any Laguiole I've ever seen.
