I'm sure this has come up before, but things are kind of slow. I was in the video store today and saw Stephen Baldwin holding a Rescue on the cover of "Mr. Murder". Nice shot too; great lighting. This reminds me that a couple of weeks ago I saw "Strange Days" again and some bad punk chick brandishes a Rescue in it. For some reason, this knife looks very intimidating in movies. I think it's because the blade shape reminds one of a straight razor, and gross scenes that usually happen in movies when that shaving tool appears. Of course, the Rescue is the least scary of Spyderco knives in real life.

If it's any comfort, "the media" have been doing that for centuries. In old folk songs from the British Isles, when a line ends with "wee pen knife," the next line will rhyme with somebody losing his or her life in an act of domestic violence.

James:
When they said "wee pen knife," does that mean that small pen knives were used as weapons on the British Isles in the past on a regular basis?
