Movie review: War of the Worlds

I thought it was a good movie. Not a great movie but still a good movie. Cruise was okay and the two child actors were fine but the characters they played were irritating to me. I sometimes wished the Martians(?) would just fry them. The special effects were fantastic though and I was surprised that the movie was not anti-military. I did find it curious how the aliens arrived. Just didn't make sense to me. I guess they must be serious long time planners. Also the ending was very lame. Not what happens with the aliens, but what happens to the family. But I still recommend this movie.
