C'mon, someone out there has to like it! All of my friends are disgusted by it, and yet next to Barq's and Mug it's one of my favorite soda brands. I only know one local restaraunt that serves it. If you haven't had it and can't find it, I reccommend mixing 1 part cough syrup with 2 parts cola. :D So, anybody else a Moxieholic?

I've never tasted it. Judging by it's prominent mention in old Mad magazines I used to read as a kid, I guess it used to be pretty popular. Now it's one of those regional brands you hear about but can't ever find unless you live there. :(

Have you tried Stewarts root beer? How about IBC? The best is A&W, But not in a can or bottle, You have to taste it at an A&W restaruant. It's a fast food place that serves their root beer in a frosted glas mug.

Cough syrup and cola? Sounds just weird enough for me to like. I have heard the name but I don't think it is available in Michigan, Am I mistaken or is it the oldest softdrink still in continuious production?

I wish there were more A&W. They serve better food than McDonald's or Burger King. Lots of desserts and great root beer. Plus they have fried chicken as well as burgers. My neighbour from the UK came over to visit me in Malaysia during the summer holidays and i brought them to eat at A&W and they loved the root beer too. You just have to have that frosted mug. Topped with vanilla ice cream brings it to a new level.

Never tried Moxie though. Never even heard of it. Right now my favourite cola here in the UK would be a vanilla coke.

They sell Moxie at the local liquor warehouse. I remember the Mad magazine stuff as well. Watched a special on Moxie but haven't gotten around to trying it yet.

For root beer I like Stewarts, IBC and A&W, too. If you want to drop a few bucks, try Henry Weinhard's root beer (I know, it's a beer label) and cream soda. Outstanding and my favorite.

Moxie - yuk! I like IBC root beer and Dominion is about the best I've had, aside from the homebrewed root beers that are far better than the commercial stuff.

Sounds good. Really don't drink much soda these days, but when I do, I'm a Ginger Ale man. Blenheims is good stuff, but hard to find.
I'd like to give Moxie a try- seen it referred to for years- just can't find it around here.

I can't find Blenheims either. I go to North Carolina a couple of times a year and I usually pick up a couple of cases to bring home, but I was there (Brunswick County) a couple of months ago and I couldn't find any Blenheims.

They have A&W in Malaysia? Wow! I had no Idea that they were that big. The rootbeer float at A&W is tops! Some of the A&W's in my area use Stroh's ice cream also. (Really good ice cream from Detroit, originally made by the Stroh's brewery company)
