Has any one ever shot with the German MP-40 or STG-44?

No, I dream about owning an actual STG-44, but only got to hold one almost 15 years ago.

I believe the H&K 91 .308 was based on a lot of the same technology. 8 mm I think, and considered to be the first real assault rifle.

Do you know who is making the MP-40? H&K did copy the STG-44. So did Kalishnakov, hence the AK-47. It was a 8mm kurz= short cartridge, that the STG-44 used.
