Hello Ernie, why is this, i've held the commander and love it, but why such a small stop pin, i know the hardness is a big factor here, but the new CQC7's have bigger stop pins, why not use that size on the commander, besides that, i love watching your ravens, and commander on the Special Ops. Force show SOFinc. By the way, Welcome.

I have watched the commander be pulled and struck hard many times and see no reason why the stop pin would fail. Maybe a test in the future will show if it will but it looks strong to me.

The one I have is opened full speed 10-20 times a day, and I've had it for a few months now. Still looks good, and works like a charm. Not to mention that it opens faster than most autos....

The stop pin is solid piece of metal and is not hoolow. Most stop pins are hollow thin tube. This stop pin is solid steel so is much stronger than knives with bigger stop pins which are hollow in the center.

Well, I'd be interested in hearing why the smaller pin was chosen as opposed to the one in the CQC-7. I don't think anyone is disputing that its a tough knife and will hold up under heavy use.
