Mr. Glesser, I am speechless (from Spyderco Forum)

I apologize, I can't post a pic. Sorry guys.

From my response on the Spyderco Forum -

I am totally and completely speechless here in Afghanistan.

I received a box today from Spyderco, with a letter from Sal Glesser himself.

Inside the box were 5 (FIVE) Tan Natives to, as Sal put it ""pass out to my buddies"".

The handles are tan, with the blades etched with "Operation Enduring Freedom" and "We pray for your safe return"

Thank You Sal. I don't know what else to say.

Right now our Task Force Commander and I are debating on how to choose the individuals to be presented with the knives.

I can't say Thank You enough. And I can't wait to see the looks on our Soldiers faces, either.

Will try to post a picture of all of us with the Natives here as soon as I can.

Once again, Thank you Sal, and your amazing staff there at Spyderco as well.

it's very nice of sal to do something like this, it's people like him that make this country such great. I think in terms of choosing recipients i have two suggestions. 1) the most obvious method would be to give them out to soldiers that have gone above the call of duty. Basically grade school style, the kid that gets the best grades gets a prize. 2) give them to people that know what spyderco is! That way you know they will appreciate it.

That's what the 1st Sergeant and I decided were the two major factors....The guys who really stood head and shoulders above the rest, and ALSO knew what a Spyderco was!

Imagine the shock when you hear "what's a Spyderco??"

That and the 1st Sergeant & Commander wanting to know how to order more for these guys!!!
