Some people in this world don’t care about things that are good and fun. Something like this is a place to share, not to take advantage of, take more than you give back, or trade junk for good stuff.
 
From time to time, the box has become unwieldy with too many knives. On occasion, we have encouraged members to take more than they add, to bring the accumulation down to a more manageable level. After one such campaign, I happened to win, and found out first hand how difficult it is not to leave the box richer than you found it.
 
How does this work? I'm not new here but was a lurker for years and recently been a bit more active.

You put your name in the drawing.
If your name is picked, then the box of knives is sent to you.
When you receive the box, you decide which knives you want to keep.
Then you add some of your own knives and hold another contest for the next winner.
It is also appropriate to post a picture of the knives you take out, and the knives you put in to replace them.
 
this is the list as I have it. I’m having trouble ith my computer, so please check and see if it’s correct. my name is still on there, can’t seem to erase it. I won’t be in the drawing, however.

I thought I had bowed out some time ago. Please remove my name. I have won the darn thing twice, so I am content just to watch the fun.
 
What I like most about the chance to win the box coming to you is that you get to put many knives in your hand to check out makers and patterns you may not have had a chance to experience yet.
