Mr. Knife's Never-Ending Giveaway #95

Thanks for keeping me in been wanting to handle a 62 carver
I had never handled one either! It's very nice. Although, unless I am missing something, what turned me off was that the 2 small blades seem too similar to each other to really justify both their presences. It's like a whittler, in that the large blade sits on both of the little blades' back springs, but why have them virtually the same? Yeah, I'm probably missing something....

The slip fits the Beer Cub perfectly! The slip is no longer with the box. It now lives with what is clearly its old friend.

As for my BPS, frankly I am surprised it never got taken. I think it's pretty nice. Maybe friction folders just aren't a thing, 'round these here parts...
I am also surprised. I very nearly took the BPS myself, I like friction folders and would like to buy a BPS knife at some point myself. But my kids had selected a fair number of knives, and I wanted to leave some of the more desirable options in the box. I guess I overestimated how desirable the BPS was, I only left it there because I was sure someone else would grab it.

One Wharncliffe for opening boxes, one Wharncliffe for picking splinters, and one Wharncliffe to keep pristine for emergencies. Eminently practical blade assortment.

Sorry for the delay. Second straight sick day for the kid.
I will leave this here for any last-minute entries and draw this evening.

IIRC - One of the small blades is stainless and one is carbon. It is easier to touch up carbon (and they get razor sharp) when you need one of them little blades super sharp for carving.
The stainless one will be for chunking out.

That’s how I use ‘em anyway. Haha.

That's interesting. I didn't know that about those 🤔

Congratulations DocJekl DocJekl and to you too Side O'Beef Side O'Beef for keeping Jack’s mrknife mrknife idea going for the century mark. By the way Side O'Beef Side O'Beef if this is the GEC 12 that you put in the box that I won a while back I have to thank you again because it has become my most used GEC in my years here and also the most surprising. A superior pocketknife.View attachment 2669188
That is definitely the one that I put in the box! I am thrilled to know it's getting so much use!

Knife box arrived safely, I'll start a new thread the afternoon or evening of Friday Oct 4th with pics. I'll try to make my choices of what to take and replace this weekend. I'll copy and paste the names from this thread, and start the entry list with them; and then I'll give more time for new entries. Thanks!

PS: All the unboxed/untubed knives came loose in the case, but nothing seems damaged. I can tell that they won't stay in the straps during shipping because they are too loose.
