Mr. Koster...

I will have an answer for you tomorrow. ;) :D :p

any special requests of how you'd like to see it done? (I can try several)

p.s. I work on these at my buddy Tom Krein's shop (which is why despite it being a relatively quick project - compared to a knife - it still takes time since I only go to Tom's at certain times...and I'll be there tomorrow. ;) )

I'd like mine to be a simple straight in, straight out like the kerambit sheaths, with multiple cant settings and a large tek-lok.

Dan,

Did your knifemaker membership expire? You're looking a little BLUE.

crap......

thanks for the note, Ted!

I did finish one..but I'm not 100% satisfied with it. It doesn't "lock" into place since it doesn't have a guard. It's not loose either...more like "snug"...but you can't hold it upside-down and shake it (which is what I'd prefer).

Here's a pic:

The sheath is set up for Horizontal, Vertical and Canted carry.

Dan, where do you get your kydex from? I'm looking for a good yet relatively cheap supplier for a small pilot project. Am thinking of doing some sheaths for some of my work tools and if this works out I may even market them within the trade.

Shadow, not to answer for Dan...

BUT...

Give knifekits.com a buzz

They sell small pieces of it at a decent price

Grr I wish I lived near Tom Krein!!

Tom

You guys are always welcome if you are in the area!

Give me a call to make sure I will be there and come on by!!

Tom

Gravy Tom...If I had a house you would be welcome any time bro!! Ahh ya gotta bring that puppy of yours though :)

I get my kydex from the most awesome, kind, gracious, giving supplier in the whole wide world...

:D  :p :o :foot:

I had to snitch the pieces for this one guys...made Tom so angry...he cut up the rest of the sheet into tiny 2" x 4" pieces...just so I couldn't use 'em....

:foot:

I used to live near a plastics place in VA and got it by the sheet (for cheap! - about 75% off). Sadly, those days are gone. :(

Knifekits.com is a good place to get small pieces...I'm tempted to pick up one of their orange kydex pieces...cool stuff!

Also available at www.texasknife.com

Shows up on ebay every once in a while too.

But probably the best bet is to find a local/regional plastics distributor and ask for kydex "T" grade.
