I went out for a hike with Mrs Pit today but she insisted that I wear clothes or she wouldn't go !!!

Here is Mrs Pit marching off in front as I lagged behind looking for animal tracks !

I just took my mini PSK today which fits in a pouch on my belt next to my Swiss Spirit, my Swamprat Bandicoot rode on the other side of my belt....

Wow, you have NEVER been in snow ? You have to at least get somewhere and try it bro and yeah it is pretty cold !;)
 
Looks like you got a good blast there. Great shots. Wish I could be listening to the crunch, crunch of snowy footsteps like that right now!
 
looks liek a nice hike. bummer about the clothes though, since the feeling of snow on bare skin if just awsome :D
 
Hey Pit are you going to let a woman tell you what to do????? You need to set your foot down and show her who is the man in the house.... Next time go out there naked and show her you are DA MAN. You would go out there in the snow butt naked if you feel like it...
 
Great pics pitdog. Does Maisy ever protest when it comes time to put on her jacket? My dog loves the snow and would never let me put something on her that inhibits rolling around in the powder.

and takao - that's amazing! Give the snow a try some time. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I still say someone should sew a sheath onto Maisy's "jacket" and stick an RC-4 or something in there for her......and maybe some waterproof tinder packs....
 
Pit dog I think its cold when it gets down into the 60's, once and a while when I hunt I see frost on the ground at the 8000 + foot level.

One day I will have to see some snow.
 
20 degrees is balmy at this time of year here in Minnesota! We had rain this morning, turned to freezing rain, then coated everything with ice as the temp fell, and snow by evening. Bitterly cold wind too. Brrrrr! i was going to practice making a fire, but I wimped out and went inside to make hot cocoa instead!
 
It is funny how you can tell immediately that it is BC Canada by those of us from here. I think it is the green of the nature and the west coast outdoor wear. Great hike. Cheers from N. Van.

great photos Pitdog! I too spend some time s in snow the today, mostly pounding icy pavement looking for a new job.

:eek: you gotta get some snow time! last year i took a buddy of mine from Afrikans up to the local mountains for some innertubing down the snow hill. The whole day he had a grin and could'nt stop saying "cold man, this very cold here in Canada, cold man, very cold i have great enjoyment! :D:D:p
