MT Kestrel

I'm thinking I'm going to buy a MT Kestrel and looking for opinions.

Anyone had any experience with them?

The ones I have seen all looked great but I don't see much here about them. I know it's got an unusual blade but it looks very functional as an EDC. (for me anyway)

I'm also interested in hearing any thoughts on why the Kestrel Auto is $30 LESS from 1SKS than the manual. Is it the lock?

While I'm at it, if anyone has one they're interested in selling or trading please let me know via e-mail.

It's a Microtech so there have to be plenty of them out there, any thoughts are appreciated.

You can also get a LCC DA for $10-$20 less than the manual. It's a strange world we live in. Believe they were special editions. Sorry can't say more.

Suggest the newly archived Reviews forum for reviews of the Kestrel. I think TK did one a couple years ago, but it could have been the Vector, thereby confusing me forever as to which is which. (Memory loss you see)

Thanks Bugs, I searched the reviews and laid an egg.

Found a few things under the general forum but not a whole lot.

I'm suprised few people really seem to have an opinion on them.

I have owned a couple and they are a nice knife but a little small for a utility blade for me. You might also want to check on the Microtech forum over at Knifeforums you might get some opinions over there.
