Mt Peter to Elk Pen Appalachian Trail

Hey, you got my socks, give them back. Darn Tough Light Hikers good choice. Just finished 3 days on the AT also, Peters Mountain to Swatara Park. Nice pics. Lots of flooding evidence here.
Those socks are the absolute best that I have used. Zero blisters when I probably should have had them. Congrats on the 3 day AT hike. I wish I could spare that much time at once on the trail. First 8 miles was pretty wet but the last 4 miles was bone dry. Trail angels left a few gallons on the dry side so I pressed and topped off my bottles. Keep Climbing Brotha. May your shoes stay grippy
and your poles never slip

Doing my next 12-15 thru Harriman/Bearmountain. I don't think I can reach the Bridge in one day from the Elk Pen.... I'm old :(
That's a trek, I've done from Fingerboard to Wildcat and that's clearly my limit :D

When are you going? Maybe I can tag along for some

It will be sometime October I hope. I will give you a heads up. I have a trip planned for Georgia at the end of the month and I'm booked up the rest of this month. We like to scramble the Breakneck loop for practice when we only have a couple of hours to spare.
I'll let you know when we are climbing. If you don't mind climbing in the snow we climb straight thru the winter.

Thanks man! New job last year been keeping me crazy. I'm catching my stride now though so I'll hopefully be around more. I did manage to get out to the spring northeast gathering!! sadly I'll miss the fall one
Good deal man, be good to have ya back around.

I've got Revo Explore snowshoes and Microspikes I should be all set, unless I need an ice axe, I can always get one

I was hoping to get some Catskills time in this fall / winter too, if you're interested, I've never attempted a winter peak and I'm not getting any younger ;-)
