You guys are in trouble now that I have figured out how to post pictures here. I took a trip two weeks ago with some scouts, from Horseshoe Meadow to Mt Whitney. Here are a few pictures from the trip:
View looking back down at Horseshoe Meadow
Looking down at Big Whitney Meadow
Looking up toward Miter Basin
Crabtree Meadow
Timberline Lake
Clearing storm at our camp at the tarn above Guitar Lake
Nearing the summit
From the summit looking north
It was a very nice trip, even though it rained four out of five days. I have been working with these scouts to get them in shape for the trip. They had heard about a similar trip that I took last year, and they wanted to summit Whitney, too. Whitney is the highest peak in the lower 48, at 14,505' (or 4421M for our metric friends).
