MT10P – Mule Team Fixed Blade featuring CTS-BD1

Thanks bro. I think I get stuck when I choose to use MO instead cuz I'm not living in US.

Missed the forum for a couple days and almost missed this one. An then thought I'd gotten lost in a Time-Warp when I saw it as #MT10.

Here is a picture of my CTS-BD-1 that I got in the mail yseterday. As you can see already has a walnut handle on it, thanks to Burl source for some great wood. Included a picture of the rest of the family. Enjoy!

Does anyone know the hardness of the steel? I called Spyderco, and nobody that I spoke to knew what it was.
 
I'm not much of a fixed blade guy, but I ordered one anyway. I rather like the knife, will probably use it in the kitchen.

Just finished making the sheath, it's not pretty but it works. Making kydex sheaths looks sooo much easier in videos.

Can still see a bit of that residue from cutting the neoprene foam for the kydex press. It just doesn't want to come off.
 
Got mine yesterday. :)

Now I just need to reprofile it and sharpen it up for testing. :D



 
Just got home from golden, where I picked up my mule. This is my first mile team blade and I'm digging it a lot. Gotta decide on a nice handle material now...

That factory edge was sharp wasn't it. :D :thumbup:

I haven't decided what to do with mine yet.
 
Spyderco has had the most consistently sharp factory edges of any blades I've bought - and I've been buying them since the original aus-8 endura with a plastic clip. The little freebie dragonfly I got for spending over a benjamin at the factory store has a hair splitting serrated edge on it. Not bad for free!
