Beautiful Dan!!!!
But there's nothing like 85 year old or older Bois D'Arc to help a feller along in the beauty department.
Even newly cut and slightly aged Bois D'Arc has a shine to it that surpasses explanation. Even without a finish on it it looks like the surface of the wood is way below what a person actualy feels.
PS. I think I warned Dan about the potential toxicity of the Bois D'Arc dust, but just in case anyone else does any work with this beautiful wood please be careful with it.
Strangely, or not, the dust doesn't bother me at all. Sorta like the Mescal Beans we use on Gourd Dance Bandloliers. I drill 'em out, but they make some folks really sick.
but then being ndn there's lottsa things that don't bother me that bothers non-ndns. Poison Ivy, Oak and Sumac fer instance.
