Could someone please tell me the HRc hardness of the Spyderco Mule Team Elmax (MT13P)?

I did sent an information request to Spyderco and searched the internet but no information on the MT13P hardness. Even the Spyderco webshop is blank concerning this detail.
If someone does know, I'd much appreciate it!

Thanks,
Dan :)

Just a quick followup, I received an email reply from Spyderco customer support and it said the hardness is 60-61 HRc. I guess that puts the elmax mule at 59-61HRc?

60-61 sounds about right. Although it is my first knife in ELMAX, the way my Mule keeps a fine edge is noticeably better in comparison to another knife I have in CPM-154 at 60-61.

Hi Dan,

I guess I lied, sorry. The information that I received was not accurate. Today I received the the test piece (to use in my kitchen) and the knife was marked 58.8 and not 58.2 as mentioned earlier. If I can get a chance to test others, I will. We shoot for 59/60. Most heat treaters won't deal with a 2 number spread. They say it's too restrictive. Manufacturers usually give a 3 number spread (eg: 58/61), but I am a bit anal in some areas. Our heat treater tolerates my requirements, which is often challenging on Mule Team pieces because they're short runs with little time to learn the steel.
