Full-Tang Custom Lauri Bush Knife
Hwy there! Putting up this wonderful full-tang Lauri bush knife made by the very talented maker of Half Blossom Blades. Reluctant to let this one go, but realizing I don’t typically carry using cordage, although this multi-carry sheath has a fantastic belt loop as well. Sheath is top shelf. Honestly I love everything about this knife and set up, but someone else may get more from the very cool carry options. Feels great on hand, and maker is a Jedi on Japanese stones, and this is one of my sharpest blades. New except for cutting a few pieces of cardboard, and carried once—haze on the bevel is from water stones. I added several feet of survivor cord (see photo of specs), and rigged it up so it can be easily adjusted. Asking what I paid plus shipping, 200 PP G&S, or Venmo. Originally sold for 265. Not looking for trades, and item is cross-posted, timestamps apply. Shipped USPS Priority CONUS. From the maker:
“My last full broad tang before I dive headlong into hidden tang work…
This is a custom full tang 80CrV2 Lauri blade, about 3.25mm thick, 3.5" long blade and about a 4.75" long handle. Edge has been sharpened on Japanese water stones, starting at 400 and working up through 8k, finished with a light strop.
Handle is black linen micarta over thin white and medium natural canvas liners. 7mm Loveless bolts, brass tube, G/Flex 650 epoxy. Handle finished at 400 grit.
Sheath is 10oz veg tan shoulder, saddle stitched with 1mm natural Ritza Tiger thread and finished with Obenauf's oil. It's one of my multi carry style sheaths, ready for canted neck or baldric carry, tip down neck or baldric carry (with a slight re-route of the cord), or regular belt carry (or dangler carry). Fit is perfect, not too tight, no play at all, suction type fit.
Ultimately, I made this knife to my own ideal specs for a bush knife of this sort. Stone finished edge with good geometry, natural oiled leather sheath capable of multiple types of carry, linen micarta at 400 grit etc.”
