Ok so today I tried multi-etch on some titanium clips I have. The clips have this grey coating on them that I assume is chemical oxidization. I put a few ounces of diluted multi-etch into a plastic container then into a water bath. The water kept boiling but the multi etch wouldn't get the small bubbles at the base of the tub. I put in a purple clip I wanted to re-do and it took 10min to turn gray. Some of the gray came off to show titanium silver, but only a little bit. I let the container sit in boiling water for 20min and it never started to fizz. I dont have an IR temp gauge so I have no clue how hot the mix was. Anyone have any suggestions?

Heat longer and that should do the trick... that really sounds like enough though. Did you mix all of the multietch at once per directions? I bet it just needs a couple more minutes...

I did a partial mix but added some more formula to the water when it wasn't working. Going to get a chemical safe 1gal container and pour everything in there so I know its mixed tomorrow. My stuff is totally dry and it came out super dark. Frustrating...
