im not new to forums but am to makeing a blade, i have made one last week end

its not the best + not the best picture but i have started work.:foot:
i guess what i am looking for is a link on how to do etching ,tool work,how to change the metal diffrent colors like rainbor or blue.
and what ever else i whould need to know to make my new project a real good looking blade
i will post pictures on it when i have learned
 
the noobie sticky at the top of this page has just about all your problems solved
heat coloring can be tricky and if its going to be a user knife you need some steel that has a high temper tempeture (over 800 F) also remember that it will rub off quickly with use
but you have a nice start there and just keep at it
