multi task knife

I grew up in a house full of well-maintained carbon steel knives with patina. I came to dislike the metallic flavor they imparted to food and resolved to outfit my own kitchen with only stainless knives. Lucky for me, around that time companies were figuring out how to make decent blades with good stain resistance. My Moras are all stainless and they function very well.

I got the knife today, I cant believe how sharp it is, its unbelievably sharp.

really impressed by its blade, and not only that... it also feel balanced and even though the handle is made from plastic and rubber it grips to my hand very well, I hope it grips even when wet.

its hard to believe that you get such a good knife with such an amazing blade for 15$.

thanks for everyone who helped me to make this decision I am very happy with the purchase :)

One additional suggestion, Since you managed to leave a nice chunk of your original budget intact, you should consider complimenting your Mora with a full sized Swiss Army knife with the "other" tools that come in handy on a hike. Nothing insane, but a simple Hiker, Camper, Climber, or Huntsman are all great choices that come in around $25-35 (u.s.), and the newer designs in the evogrip lineup are great too; Tons of options to choose from though to suit your needs, cigar cutter, golf course tool, you name it... The ones I mentioned above (and similar comparable models) are all small enough to slip in the watch pocket of your jeans of you want, but large enough to still handle quite a few of the finer tasks you may encounter, and super handy to have a second option, (and that also gives you a nice little convenient edc option just to carry around where ever)...
(huntsman or the upgraded version, evogrip s18 are my 2 personal favorites)...

And you'll still be under budget.

great choice btw with the Mora, I love 'em for the price vs. Performance: it's lightweight functionality makes it a great choice for general hiking without getting in the way.
Everyone wants a Busse or BRK or KaBar, (which are great), but more often then not, unless your doing some hardcore bush living, a cheap little Mora is all you really need... Enjoy it!

Congrats!!! I have the same one,,, it's funny how often I choose it over knives 10X it's price!!

Good pick, bud. What are you going to do with the savings?

Nice compass? Firesteel? Folder? How about a multi-tool?

Or a membership?

It seems you like the advice and member base here.
