Hey everyone, my name is Josh. I'm new to the forum and knife making. I am studying under a master blacksmith but he doesn't make knives. So far I have a Ridged anvil, propane forge, some plate shears, and other tools. I am wanting to get a grinder soon. I have been doing lots and lots of research. I really like the multi-tool that connects to a bench grinder. I would really like to have your opinions on this tool.
Thanks,
Josh Cooper

A good tool to have in the shop, but not for knives. The unit + a good 1 hp grinder , which it needs, will set you back at least 4/450 and be limited for knife making. That was my plan originally. I do have the tool and use it for many things , but it will not take the place of a 2x72.
The marketing on that tool is interesting. No discounts and very few vendors. If they sold for 150.00 they would probably sell a ton of them. It's a unique tool that works well but I see no reason for a 250.00 price tag.
