What's wrong with original wave sheath?

Functionally nothing. But I prefer the look and feel of a leather sheath. Replacing the nylon one that came with my Wave is pretty low on my to-do list right now -- however, if I ever do come across one that's just right, maybe I'll take the plunge.

You don't have to buy the knife, even though it is a really nice knife, you can buy just the clip from knifekits.com.

Yes, that clip can be welded to the old wave. Use a tig welder with 308 stainless steel rod. To the best of my knowledge.
