JOOLIESEWS said:Okay, I've only got a few minutes before I have to leave for the whole weekend. Not a lot of time to research, so I'm going to throw out a few ideas from memory here.
The first electrician's multitool that comes to mind is the Leatherman Squirt EL. (Which reminds me, I haven't got one of these cuties yet)
Another that I remember (and the first one that I remember ever seeing) is the Crescent ToolZall Techician.
Crescent also had their name on another, better constructed model, the ToolZall Electrician Pro. I believe this tool was built by Bear Jaws MGC.
................and that's all that comes to mind. Darn it Doug, I can't think of one with the half-circle blade notching you are hinting about.
Okay Joe, I'm leaving the rest of this question in your hands. I'll talk to you guys Monday. Have a good weekend!

Bear Jaws also marketed the Electrician as #155EL under their name.

The first of this is the now-discontinued Victorinox Auto Tool.

JOOLIESEWS said:Hi Guys. Made it back from the camping trip. The other half of the answer to this one is the Porshe Design tool by Wenger. It's got a tire tread depth gauge as one of it's implements. Weird. This tool is kind of pricey and "stylish", not the sort of thing I'd expect the employees at my local Firestone dealer to carry. (I wonder if anyone, anywhere, has ever actually used this device to check their tread depth?)
JOOLIESEWS said:Hey Doug, I can see by the way you asked that last question that you were trying to get some new blood into this quiz. I agree. Is it just the three of us here? Suggestion: I see this thread has slipped down the list a ways from the top. Maybe we should end this one, and continue on a new thread that would be at the top of the list? (I'm new here, so speak up if you guys don't think this is a good idea)

lonediver said:The next question /category will be what I would call multi tools for first response people . The tools that come to my mind include such implements as seat belt cutters , windshield breakers , handcuff key . Implements such as EMT's , policeman , fireman , would use . I can think of one by a well known maker that everyone should know . I know of two others at least . I am sure that you will have fun with this question Bob . Maybe some of you will come up with more ? Hey Dunc , I rember reading that you are a first aider so this question should be of interest to you . See you when I get back .
