Multi-word searches?

Is there a reason I can't do multi word searches (i.e. short ka bar)? Is it because I'm a basic member or is the search engine not capable of doing them?

It can do multiple words but each word has to be at least four letters and it can't handle common words like "knife."

Sometimes Google advanced search with bladeforums.com in the domain field can do things the internal search feature can't.
