Multiples of blades

I would rather have multiples of knives I like, then a variety of knives I didn't like

I usually end up with Multiples of the same knife getting a CG first then deciding I want an LE or Satin.

One is none; two is one.

I have multiples of most of my firearms and clothing, too.

A warranty is nice... If the post office still exists. What do you do when services are disrupted?

With Busse knives, it's even worse. Like touched on above by another poster, if you use and abuse your Nuclear Meltdown Ninja Chicken Stabber, and it snaps in half, five or ten years after the design was killed off and the Busse crew turned vegan, what now?

You get a "substitute" that pales in comparison and makes you search for this thread and resurrect it with a "OMFG u guyz was rite!"

Shit. Not on my watch.

Wait, what...

I'd love to be able to buy multiples of knives I really like, but unfortunately can not afford to do so! I can't afford to buy one of all the knives I like, let alone multiples. I have to be selective in what I order. But that makes the ones I do have all the sweeter to me!:D

I don't have any exact duplicates, but I do have two variants of a few things. My "back-up" plan in general is just to have a sh!t ton of different awesome blades. :D

It's always a bummer to have one lost/stolen/broke, but there's too much stuff I want to own for me to buy multiple of everything. Everyone should do what works for them though of course and I guess one day I might settle down on a group of ultimate users and want true back-ups for them, but I'm not there yet.

I considered the multiple briefly, one set to take to Puerto Rico with us and one set to leave back in Texas for just in case. I'm still debating what or if I am taking any of them with me. Or possibly leaving my MOASS, Gladius and FFBM here and taking the rest since those are less heartbreaking if they were to be stolen

the Busse crew turned vegan!!!! ... that could really happen!?!?!?! ...

I have purchased a few multiple copies of models I like too (TG for sure)... I told my gf the other day that I'm just making sure she has similar gear in case of lions, tigers or bears (or zombie versions of each).

Watching O2W and seeing people buying multiple of a blade and then looking at the collections of people having multiple, am I the odd man out who is more into variety than having multiples of a blade?

The only thing I can see that I would buy a second of is a Gladius and an AK (gave mine to my wife as an appeasement gift).

Only multiples I can see owning are basic 11/13 and some mud mutts to pass on to the young uns

I agree on the B11, of the 2 ya mentioned.

Jaxx only exists if you want him to! Jaxx is in fact a computer generated program on Photo Bucket with a complete listing of all Busse's made

The best insurance is the kind you have full control over... at the end of the day, if you can't touch it, there is no guarantee you ever will again. That's why a pair & a spare is good coverage for just in case of: theft, loss, accidentally burying it under 6 feet of dirt with your tractor, boating accident, choices of angry/vindictive spouse/family/friends, confiscation (never go through tsa checkpoints with a knife you love), etc, many of which are not covered by insurance/warranty. ;)

pair & a spare, that's good advice and works well for my favorites
