Hi,

Some months ago I bought from a German outdoor/military surplus store a net scarf that consists of a cotton net with about 1/3" "holes" in it and sized 6 by 3 feet.
It is printed in a flecktarn (German camouflage pattern, streaky/spotty camouflage colors) and you can use it man ways.
I like it folded in 4 so taht I get an 9" wide 6 feet long scarf wrapped around my neck to keep me warm when its cold and windy and found that even thow it consists of a net structure it keeps the wind out and keeps you warm while allowing sweat to either not" form or dissepate quickly.

Just a week or to ago I used it "unfolded" wrapped naround my head and shoulders to "camouflage" me and keep some rabbits from seeing me. This worked well and I had a tasty wild mushroom/rabbit pie the day after

.
I also used it as a carry small items, fruits vegatables etc. "sack" and it can even be used to built a blind (at least from 2 sides as its 6 feet long.
it could even be used to catch animals like rabbits when you stake it losely over an rabbits burrow opening.

All in all it's a nice multi functional piece of equipement (clothing) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
I haven't seen them in the US but if you find them give them a try you won't be disappointed I think.

My wife almost confiscated mine as wanted to she use it to compliment her autumn colored vest+ blouse she used it as a scarf around her neck but also to wrapp around her head... looked pretty nice and I had a hard time getting it back

Those scarfs are excellent and definetly multi-functional. When I was in the Army I carried at least one (two if it was winter or one of my Platoon's was acting as OPFOR.

They work great as insulation, used to wear one underneath my top, especially nice for early morning move out's.

Used them for fishing, washing clothes, make shift ghille suit, great for the front of a hide position.
