Multitool EDC? Anyone?

I snapped one of the pliers sides off of my Core, sent it in and got it back in about a week so it is once again in my pocket daily. I got the Nite-Ize key fob attached to it so it sits in my pocket with the keys hanging out. I absolutely love this tool.

I never leave the house without my Leatherman KICK, Victorinox Hunstman, or Bucklite Max.

These three tools form the backbone of my EDC kit, with other stuff being added depending on my mood or needs. I have about 4 flashlights that rotate in and out (which one depends largely on what type of batteries are available), a few CCW handguns, and various other doo-dads, in addition to my phone and car-keys kit.

I've found the KICK to be a great EDC tool. The tool assortment is minimalist, but well designed, and there's no substitute for pliers when you need them. When I was a satellite TV installer, I used that tool several times a day, every day. The Huntsman covers a few weaknesses of the KICK, and adds some redundancy. If I lose one tool, I've still got a backup. The Bucklite Max is just a good inexpensive tactical folder for my big-knife chores.

leatherman mut every day but there is a oht in the mail :) also carry a folder some times big some times small at the moment its a boker plus warcom

when the oht comes i might have to edc two full size multiytool :)

I EDC a Vic Deluxe Tinker or Wenger Tradesman (same tools just the Wenger is beefier and shorter) in a belt pouch and a Vic Classic SD on my keyring. I always abide by Gibbs Rule #9 (Never go anywhere without a knife).

I EDC a folder and a LM Juice S2. I've tried so many pocket sized multi's and I believe that the S2 cannot be beat for its size, weight and thickness.

If I know I'm gonna need something bigger my Charge TTi takes its place.

Vic midnight manager for the past few months. Takes care of many urban needs in a small package.

My orange fuse is a daily must. I carry it in the sheath below with light. All the other things in photos are also carried but I sometimes switch knives, saks, lights, ect.

I carry a Super Tool 300 on my hip every single day. I love it. I use is mostly as a tool and not a knife unless I know I am doing rougher jobs. I also keep a slim SAK in my pocket. Currently it's a serrated Spartan. I also never leave the house without my small LED Maglite. To round it all out, I usually have a fixed blade on me as well be it a small "pocket" khukri or a small belt knife.

All tools that get used often. Better to have them and not need them, right:)

About 20 years ago a teacher even confiscated that tiny SAK that is more a nail cutter than a knife! At that time I was not really aware that EDC is actually kind of a lifestyle but I always wanted to carry something useful on me so I got into those bladeless, one-piece multitools. For the past 20 years I have almost all the time had some kind of bottle opener/tool combination on my keychain and I never got back to carrying a Leatherman-style tool or SAK (except for holidays of course). For me it has to be a combination of utility and style. One of my current favorites is the Gen 3 TT Skull Tool, so small and so useful! The bottle opener gets most of the work but I have already had quite good use for it as screw driver, to remover cover plates and to open boxes...
Of course a one-piece tool can hardly replace a real multitool but it is rare that I miss something I would find on a Leatherman.

I have carried a Multi Tool of some sort on me for the past 2 years. My normal conjunction of functions is a blade, my Leatherman Fuse most of the time, and either my Leatherman Micra, or Leatherman Squirt PS4. This combo is awesome! It's lightweight, and has all the needed utility.

Just got back from Hawaii where I EDC'd my skeletool. Not sure about Hawaii state carry laws but it wasn't a problem :)

I carry a Benchmade 707 Sequel everyday, and pair it with either a Leatherman Micra, or PS4. It's pretty amazing how many everyday tasks these little tools can handle.

At the least, I carry a SAK every day. Two, actually. My Executive lives on my keys, and there's normally a full-size one in my pocket. That varies between one of ten or twelve different models, both Wenger and Victorinox. All depends on what I feel like grabbing in the morning. At work I usually have a multi on my belt, and again that varies. Two of my favorites are the ST200 and the MP600 Pro Scout, but other Leatherman, Gerber, and SOG models see use. Even my original Schrade Tough Tool has been carried! That's a first generation US made one, not a newer POS version.....

I EDC a Rebar at the moment, growing up it was a Pulse every moment I wasn't at school. I figure almost no matter where you are, a decent looking multi-tool is the safest thing a younger guy can carry, especially if it is internal blades, no flash, black, or "tactical" silliness. Lets you rescue a damsel or two, keeps you from thinking the knife will get you out of a fight, but right there if you need it. Belt carry for those places that concealment can get you in trouble. It sucks that you have to live one big step behind the line, but better safe than sorry. I just got a leatherman style CS (the scissors one) which is really nice. Great for when someone has a tag or thread to remove. Beats handing over a live blade. You just have to be smart about it.

I don't like bothering with belt sheaths and all that so I got a Leatherman New Wave and the extra pocket clip to carry but it was a bit big and heavy and got left behind alot. Dug around a bit and ordered a Leatherman Sidekick. Just arrived today but it feels like it'll work better for me. This is in addition to a primary blade, usually a CRKT Ringed Razel.

I keep a Leatherman PST II on my gear at work. Don't need it very often but it has come in handy enough to justify the extra weight and clutter.
