I was looking for input as to the best multitool to have to augment my Strider for field use. I have a SOG Paratool that I received as a gift. How does it stand up against things such as the Leatherman Wave, etc? Please be blunt. I don't offend easily *L*

How good are the blades on these things?

Thanks for your insight and input.

ive got a leatherman wave, and i love it. The one hand opening blade is really usefull, and its sharp for utility uses. It locks up with a little liner lock, and it seems pretty solid. Obviously don't use it for hard use though, thats what your strider is for. :)

I think that the Victorinox (Swiss Army) one is by far the best. I've broken both leatherman and germber multitools in my line of work. Once I got the Swiss one, I didn't need another.

I will second Ryan on the Swiss tool. It rocks, fit and finish are awesome, and it is heavy duty. Works great for everything I have used it for.

Take it easy,
Reed

Just one thing on the SOG. I have had a SOG paratool since 93 and have yet to hert it, only thing is the piviots for the pliers " the little nutz" tend to loosen, but retightening them is a snap.

I have broken off one side of the jaw on a gerber and the saw in the gerber sucks, so I dont recomend it to any one.

I will take my fellow gunners word on the Victorinox (Swiss Army).Althoe I have never had the pleasure myself.

PS. Please remember September 11 so the poeple who were Murderd this day will not be forgotten.
