Mumbleypeg (sp.?) post something

In the good old days, all Scouts carried knives (no toting chip). The game is usually known as Splits here, as it is in some parts of the US. My mother taught me to play (and we wore Woolthorth's plastic sandals then!)! :D :thumbsup:

Take care of your knife? By throwing it in the dirt and using it as a hammer?
My best friend at the time wanted to play M-P once. I declined, whether out of reverence for my knife, or reluctance to admit I knew nothing about the game, or embarrassment at my inept attempts, I don't remember.

LOL! I do come across a lot of old knives with blade wells full of dirt! :rolleyes: :D :thumbsup:
