Selling my used Sword N Armory "Matsu" Katana
Has been used to cut tatami omote and has been sharpened via a belt grinder, however great care was given not to eat the metal.
IT IS USED THUS HAS WEAR FROM USE AND SHARPENING however it still looks good.
T10 steel, deferentially heat treated. I've taken this very sword to very hard dried yellow bamboo as well as dozens of bamboos with no edge damage. I've cut approximately 150+ tatami omote mats with this sword, it's quite frankly a great cutter. Letting it go because I no longer have the time to practice cutting mechanics.
Very well balanced.
Wrapped in Cotton ito, very tight. Samegawa strips, with large "emperor" nodes.
Iron Fittings with pine motiff "Matsu". Over all very nice package for those looking for a high performance katana.
Tsuka core is good and healthy, and the sword fits tight inside the fittings.
Saya is cracked unfortunately, however is still nice looking. Comes with decent sageo (synthetic but thick).
I will throw in two Katana makura with the sword.
