Years ago, I went to a certain pseudo-scientific group, where I took a test that theoretically measured my mental "tone".

Now, even while taking the test, I noticed some problems- for instance, one question asked if I would hunt even if I caused pain to animals. There was no good choice- either I could lie (uh-uh!) or choose an emotionally slanted answer.

My grader told me that I was severely depressed, and that I was a danger to myself and my environment, and that this particular group could do nothing to help me at this point in time.

A few years later, after varied experiences, I came out of a 20 year depression. My point is, sometimes we can find ourselves in such a bad way, it can seem hard to find our way out by ourselves. Acknowledging a problem is a good step- right after accepting responsibility for your actions and what happens to you. BF, if you're reading this, understand that by posting totally frivolous fluff, you only trivialize the image we have of you, instead of elevating our image of you. Speak the truth in love, and be happy.

Rusty & Munk, you have my vote , This is an outstanding Forum of very fine , compassionate people well versed in their chosen Passion it would be a shame to change that.

Warren, in all seriousness we owe it all to Uncle Bill. His conduct sets the tone and the standard for this forum, the rest of us just follow his lead. Read through the archives a bit and you'll see what I mean.

Rusty has done an exemplary job as moderator from day one and continues to do so. He was forced to make some hard decisions during my leave and I'm convinced he made the correct ones. He started this and he'll finish it with 100% confidence and backing from me for whatever that might be worth.

It is only comparatively recently that the MMPI revamped its scoring to not include 'christians' and their responses under the delusional or psychotic. Behavioral medicine has a long way to go.

A guy must figure out what he is and is not, and work from there. Medicine can help or hinder, or do nothing.

Maybe we can spend sometime together sometime this week solving the worlds problems.

Ot atleast convince ourselves that we didn't screw things up too badly all things considered.

For what it's worth... I also think Rusty was correct in the actions he has taken. This person needs serious help! His behavior was out of line and creepy as well.
 
I'm not too sure what HE did but I have read some of HIS posts'.Seems a little off to me.:eek: A decision has been made,thats final.I respect all of you and this forum.Keep up the good work.:D
 
I haven't specifically said so, but hope it is clear I also back Rusty all the way. I'd back him if I disagreed with him. But I don't. There's no way either Bill or Rusty could call them and have everyone agree. We all agree they do a damn fine job.

I had occasion to observe an individual on a different forum who was so disruptive that he nearly managed to destroy the forum. After months of pleading,coaxing,begging,by the moderator for him to be civil and behave and innumerable second chances,the day finally came that he was restricted to only one thread and was locked out of all others.

That one thread was a sight to see.

He ranted,cursed,raved,threatened to kill,cajoled,coerced,extorted, and used tactics that even I had never seen before.The restriction held and he finally moved on to more fertile fields.

Excellent appraisal Ferrous. I had not seen it in that depth but it actually was kinda like putting a rabid dog in a cage alone. Everyone got to watch the poor thing gradually wither and die until it decomposed into oblivion.

But the first, on NPD, leaves me torn between wanting to do projectile vomiting on remembering those I've met - or seeing how many of "them that needs' shooting" I could take out before getting caught.

Try not to dwell on thoughts like that Rusty. Trust me, makes for a sad, sour life. :(
 
Well everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, but if BuraFan ever does come back he will go on my ignore list like I said.
I don't think there is a dayumed thing wrong with him except stubbornness in wanting to be a part of this group and that, By Gawd, he is going to show us he can. Hopefully he is over that now, but for some reason I very much doubt it.
I can forgive one lie over time, but when someone just keeps lying then they are nothing but a total liar and not apt to change in my opinion.:barf:
