hello, up for sale is a Murray Carter custom kajiki. the size is that of a small belt/ field knife and is made exquisitely! Please research into how murray carter makes his blades because no one is doing anything like what he does in the states and certainly not with the level of skill he possesses. this knife was purchased directly from the maker and is one of his personally forged customs. from start to finish it was hand made by a 17th generation in the Sakemoto family tradition of Yoshimoto bladesmithing. the cutting edge is Hitachi white steel #1 this is the companies flagship forging steel, the outside layers are comprised of Gokunantetsu a mild low carbon stainless steel. when forged traditionally this produces an insanely even grain structure and at 62 rockwell it holds an edge very well and is easily resharpened. the finish is Kuro-Uchi or Black Hammer and is part of the forging process the power hammer strikes and dark color emphasize the natural hamon and hand forged process.

the handle has black and red g10 liners, f10 carbon fiber, brass peened pins and a center mosaic pin along with top grade polished desert iron wood. it is all seamless and feels amazing in the hand. the tapered tang cuts down on weight without sacrificing strength and makes for a very organic feel in the hand. the entire knife is a balanced work of art. the sage 2 in the picture with it is for size reference.

i'm asking 850.00 usd shipped and insured. if your interested please pm me with what knife your interested in and provide a shipping address, i will provide my paypal information and as soon as payment is received the knife will be boxed and shipped to your location via usps priority mail.

this knife was purchased direct from the maker Carter knives and unlike the ones on knives ship free this one was done from start to finish by Carter no one else. this is the last Kajiki he made and its a good bit larger than his usual neck knives. its meant for owb or iwb carry as a smallish belt knife its to large to be a neck knife. just to clear up any confusion about how much this particular knife cost by the time this knife is bought and shipped i will break even.
