I just thought Id post this with pictures of my newest acquisition. Im very pleased!
I purchased this Murray Carter bowie knife from an acquaintance of mine just the other day.
He knew I collected knives and he showed it to me a couple of years ago. At the time I mentioned to him if he ever wanted to part with it to give me a call. He gave me a call and with the price he requested I couldnt resist.
It came with the display case, a leather sheath and a binder with photos on the process of the making of the knife.
If you look at the business card, Murray Carter is an American Bladesmith Society, Journeyman, at the time it was made.
Cool knife, Im glad it came my way!!
There is a little bit of oxidation on the blade which Im not sure how to deal with or if I should deal with. I think Ill contact Murray Carter regarding that.
