Murray’s neck knife has a hand forged laminated steel blade with two layers of stainless steel on the outside of a high carbon steel core. The Core is 63-64 Rc. The handle is crafted from red carbon fiber, and it is good looking stuff.

This knife is unused and uncarried. There are some very fine scratches on the blade from the kydex sheath, and I have tried to capture them on the picture. Murray sells these knives for $300.

6.75” OAL 2.75” Cutting edge Approximately 2.25oz.

$235.00, $220, $215 $208 shipped in the CONUS

Not looking for any trades, thanks. Paypal cash transfer and shipping to a CONUS address receives first preference. If using PayPal credit card payment, an additional 3 % is needed to the total to cover fees for payment made to my Premier PayPal account.

Please email me if you would like this knife. Thanks for looking.

Nobody wants a smokin' hot neck knife by an ABS Mastersmith and recognized bladesmith in Japan?

Well, all-righty then. Price reduced to $215 $208.

I am tempted to buy it from myself ;)

I'm not trying to be a jerk and mean no harm.... ;) but, TAD Gear sells them for 175.00 new (when in stock)...something to consider.

You are mistaken. The ones you speak of are the 'Muteki' and are not hand-forged, they are cold forged and are Murray's entry level knife.

The hand-forged start at $300 and are a different animal that commands a premium. I know my Carters. ;)

:footinmou ah-ha....now I see, should have known better. Like I said, no harm intended ;)

Question, is the sheath a necker only or does it have provisions for IWB etc.?

Then you shouldn't have opened your mouth. It is not good practice to jack someone's For Sale thread. It is bad form, bad manners, and just plain old rude. If you don't like his price don't buy it but don't screw with his thread with your comments. Let's hope he is able to sell it now that you jacked it.

Newbies.

Very nice looking knife. Do you have any pics that show the red carbon fiber a little better?

Mark

Hi Minjin,

That is about the best photo I could produce. The red is really subtle, and translucent making for an elegant look, IMO. The dominant look is that of carbon fiber. That's what I like about this material.

I'll take it.....

ok, I have been looking at this knife for the last 3 days, I think I would rather look at it in my hand....emailing you now

BTW my appologies for my previous post...

Geode,

My email came back as undeliverable using what you have listed (geodesic@excite.com), is this addy valid? do you have another I can use?

MadDaddy,

Sorry - a guy on another forum responded before your post here. Thanks for the interest. Stick around the forum and get to know us.
