Mushrooms?

Do you just rip them out of the ground
or cut them off at ground level?

How fast do they grow,like
if I check an area and find a few today,would I be wise
to check it tomorrow or wait and check a week later?

Just pull them out of the ground. They don't re-sprout. I would wait a few days and check the same area again; definitely within a week. Takes a few days for them to grow.

I pinch them off at ground level.The earlier the season the smaller the mushrooms. Often you can go back to the same spot a week or two later and pick bigger ones.

Found my first batch this afternoon on the river bank of the Platte River. Not too big, but they were great in the pasta I had for supper!
