Music (what do you enjoy)

My favorite thing to jam on guitar is Zep, Sabbath, AC/DC, old Metallica, etc. I also like other doom/stoner rock stuff that has recently came out. Basically just rippin off the above mentioned..but... it is music and everyone "borrows" from everyone :D

been on a jonny lang kick for a bit now but i love jazz, acoustic stuff and just about everything else

Pretty varied tastes in music. Classical, a bit of jazz, jam bands (Dead, DMB are two favs, been to a lot of Dead shows back in the day), punk (very partial to surf punk, love the Queers) classic and most other flavors of rock, blues, country, etc etc etc

My first live concert was AC/DC (I was 12). I've seen Deep Purple, Bad Company, the Stones (several times, great showmen) and many others. I also enjoy seeing small local bands that play in bars, seen some really talented people in those kinds of venues. Three of my friends have a band called The Perversions and I enjoy seeing them play, always a good (and perverted!) time.

My wife has been trying to convert me to country for 24 years. I`ve got to where I can tolerate it, and actually like a few of them.

My 33lp's, then cassettes, now cd's [that's it, I'm not upgrading any further] consists of the Doors, Grateful Dead, Stones, Zepplin, Eric Clapton, Humble Pie, the Who, Allman Bros, Skynyrd, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Santana, Temptations, Four Tops, Stevie ray Vaughan, then blues from people like Buddy Guy and Muddy Waters. I'm not much into country but do enjoy Waylon and Willie and my neighbors are completely confused when they hear Earl Scruggs "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" blasting from my windows.

8/10 of the time I listen to some form of metal.
1/10 of the time I listen to some form of classical music
The rest of the time I listen to other genres.

Journey, Foreigner, Rush, AC/DC, Metallica, 80s music, classic rock, some Yanni, jazz, country...heck I just love music!

I'm thankful that my son (who turns 18 next month) has really taken to the bands that I grew up listening to all the time. Some of the best times we've had together are going to concerts. He and I both love Iron Maiden, so it was really special to see them in concert last year. Another special time for us was being on the front row to see Alice Cooper in 2009. The splattering of fake blood that hit my son from the guillotine beheading of Alice was PRICELESS...:D:D Now we are trying to go see RUSH together this summer!

Riverwarrior.. have you seen Flight 666? Sweet Maiden rockumentary! Bruce flies a 757 all over the world w/ band in tow. Really cool. Id love to see rush! You like Dream Theater? My first band was a prog rock/metal outfit that played originals ala Rush, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, etc. One of our CD's had 5 songs...and was 55 mins :D

Absolutely!! My son and I have every Maiden DVD. Actually, Dream Theater opened for Maiden last year on the tour we attended (Washington D.C. is where we saw them play). After being a RUSH fan for over 30 years, I finally saw them play live in 2007. My son has really taken to RUSH as well and we are hoping to see them this summer before he goes off to college.

Your cd sounds like it could be the modern day "2112"...:D
