Your songs are fantastic!!! On some of them, I'm getting a RUSH and Pink Floyd vibe.. You are very talented my friend. Thanks for sharing!

For anyone interested in blues/rock, my cousin has written several songs in that genre along with a few that are very atmospheric. His guitar playing is influenced by David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), SRV, and Robin Trower to name a few. A few years ago, he wrote a song called "The Waiting" in which he allowed me to contribute some ideas. I wanted some heavy guitar riffs and leads incorportated into the song, so my cousin took my ideas and kicked the song into high gear. My contribution on that particular song starts at the 3:20 mark.

I'm very happy to say that his song "Setting Sun" made it to the #1 position on the "Blues" chart of SoundClick and his song, "Hammer Down" hit the #1 position on the "Rock Guitar" chart. Here is the link to his page:

Spoken like a true math guy. :)

Lol. Yeah, holding it back in normal conversation anymore is becoming a losing battle; sadly, most women don't seem to appreciate that quality as much as I.

Also, I'd like to clarify why I listen to metal and classical music. At first they may seem like opposite, but they share many similarities.

They share the qualities of musically challenging, well composed, polyphonic(sometimes), dissonant chords, odd-time signatures, emotionally driven(sometimes), reliance on instruments over voice, wide-range of tempos, and musically progresses throughout a piece.

I like other music as well, but most seem so "basic" now (except Jazz)compared to metal and classical music IMO.

I can tolerate almost any type of music except for rap. Some of my favorite music is by SRV, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Pink Floyd, Metalica, Tool, Hendrix, John Lee Hooker, and Tom Petty. I was strictly hard rock when my son was young but decided I needed to broaden my musical taste when he changed the radio station on a Neil Young song while telling me that "we don't listen to country".
