Sometimes the TV just doesn't cut it. I have a pair of those wireless headphones now and been using them constantly! Noise cancelling means I dont have to stop and replace with plugs. :D

What do you all listen to while working?

I have rediscovered Black Label Society, they reorganized recently and WOW! Hard core is a good definition.

Zakk Wylde has some easy listening out there as well, Book of Shadows is amazingly good.

Then theres the never aging Rob Zombie.

Godsmack, always good stuff.

Anthrax, need I say more?

Been enjoying Johnny Cash's album series "Amercian". Love some of the covers, especially Empire of Dirt.

Danny Davis and the Tijuana Brass anyone? :p Yes I know his music believe it or not.

Currently alternating between phantom of the opera and the latest slip knot album. Concert and musical in February in Hamburg were awesome.

Rancid as well

Corrosion of Conformity
Old Metallica
Buffalo - Volcanic Rock on repeat
High on Fire

Wireless earmuffs are essential. I've got the Worktunes (or something like that) and one of those little FM transmitters plugged into a PC. Anything playing on the computer gets beamed to my ears.

As far as music, TOOL, APC, Aesop Rock, and some others are staples. I'm pretty broad though. I like 80's pop while working right now for some reason.

That 80's pop thing aint bad at all! Brings back some memories. 38 Special, Lynrd Skynrd, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett, Poison, on an on. Foreigner is one of my all time favorites from back then. Saw them in concert, it was one heck of a show. Night Ranger was one as well, but Cheap Trick opened for them, even then I thought that was a little backwards.

.

I totally agree about Johnny Cash's later stuff .
There was a power to his songs in his old age and declining health .
Many artists work goes downhill as they age , but his just got stronger .

Five Finger Death Punch
Avenged Sevenfold
Trivium
Disturbed
Gwar
Dethklok
KillSwitch Engage

....and all other road-rage worthy tunes :D

Avenged Sevenfold! My daughter has one of their tee's! She loves that band. :D

Agreed totally, so powerful. The emotion in his voice is amazing. Rusty Cage blew me away when I first heard it.

Avenged Sevenfold is amazing. One of the few bands keeping metal alive complete with wicked guitar and ballads.

This reminds me so much of my childhood!

Nice!!! I love the old school tee shirts showing up in that one. SLAYER being one of them. I still have "Live Undead" in a special edition printed album, zombies and all. :D

I just discovered Gram Parsons "Joyeux Angel" and I can't stop listening to it. Also the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers.

Die Antwoord's "I Fink U Freaky" is stuck in my head.

It all started with playing Toby Keith's "Red Solo Cup" for a coworker.

That song is an instant ear worm so I played Colt Ford's "Aint no trash in my trailer"

Die Antwoord to flush that out… and now I think I'll have to go dig out Taj Mahal or Jorma to kick them outta my head.

It's a vicious cycle I tell ya!

I have thousands of albums in my iTunes library. I just leave it on shuffle. Something interesting usually pops up.

Zid, you and I have similar taste. If not familiar with them yet, check out Uncle Tupelo. I have a treasure trove of their live stuff and it is incredible. If interested email me and I can load up a flash drive of some hard to find stuff you might enjoy.
