Music: Whatcha Listening to?

Hey Anthony. I haven't been in the sheaths sub for a while but I'm usually around the Custom & Handmade and Bladesmith Q&A subs. I posted a little Nessmuk style skinner and sheath not too long ago in those locations. If you haven't seen it take a look. Tell me what you think. Here is a link:

I've never had an opportunity to need a skinner, but that looks like it'd do the job nicely. The finish on the blade is lovely. I'm far from a fan of a mirror polish, your finish looks great. The handle looks comfortable and secure. Very nice. Not sure why, but making a bolster like that seems like voodoo to me. I can do a tapered tang, distal taper and all that, but the guard is beyond my abilities.

The sheath is super clean. I like how you did the stamping on the front panel. The loop flesh is nicely slicked and the dye is great.

Overall, it's a very nice package for a good cause. :)

You have good taste Leatherman. When I'm doing my thing I usually have the album SMASH! By The Offspring, along with Master of Puppets, ...and Justice for All and the like.

I have an IPOD with over 12,000 songs on it! I also listen to movies a lot. And if it aint MANOWAR it aint metal!!! Also any SAVATAGE. But my IPOD is the most eclectic collection of music you can imagine. Pretty much runs the gamut with everything but rap and new country. That's not music, just noise!

Rap and new country, yep, we both agree there for sure.

I dig it!

Oi you have sat radio? Faction is a great station for those with tastes like ours.

As for rap/hip-hop...

Here's the thing. I used to haaaate it with unbridled passion. The problem is that it, as a whole, is so diverse that anyone would be hard pressed to not have something that might appeal to them lyrically. At least in my experience. It's like good old R&B (the real stuff I mean) and possibly rockabilly... If you are down on your luck, there's something for you. You only get it when your heart is breaking, right? Rap is like that.

Music is such a personal thing. It's pretty typical of me to cast away suggestions for what someone else thinks I might like, but I've found some great stuff from threads like this. The hard part of getting into something that suits you, especially with entirely new genres, is finding what is appropriate to your style, but it's probably out there, and worth looking for.

No satellite. Most stuff I find just bouncing around youtube.

Yeah, I like some and not others. If it's the standard bling bling and parts waving, then it probably doesn't interest me, but there's a bit of good out there if you seek it out.

M-Train :)
Its all about that Bass :)

No really it is mostly classic Metal, Honky Tonk Country and Blues

Right. Most of the pop stuff is of no interest to me at all. Atmosphere is one of those underground hip hop duos that does it for me, but they don't appeal to everyone.

Back on topic.

Operation Ivy

Transplants

Queensryche (of all things)

Love and Rockets

Minor Threat

Run the jewels

Now that's a funky mix!

I like Atmosphere. Lot of good stuff from Rhymesayers.

Well known fact that angels sing in Gaelic. If in doubt:

Last gal plays a heck of a whistle too:

Celtic music and Cowboy music, no not country or Country and Western but real cowboy music is usually whats playing in this shop. This the real deal. No plastic cowboy hats here. I've met the performer and the photographer and know many of the subjects:

....and here's proof that Angels will also gather to form a small choir:
