Just thought I'd share some pictures of my new Busse Muskrat. A forum member, steelnut, made the sheath. It is going on one of the pack straps on my backpack. I'm putting a convex edge (by hand) on it today.

NIce looking BUSSE....what is the thickness on that one? Blade length?

Congrats!

Why so many lanyard holes on your sheath? Just curious.

It's riveted, at my request, to accept small or large TEK-LOKs or MOLLE-LOKs. I'm going to use the small TEK-LOK to attached it to the pack strap. My pack also has MOLLE/PAL webbing on it, so if I move it elsewhere, I need the larger spaced holes to attach the MOLLE-LOKs. It also is riveted, at the base, to allow it to be used as a necker.

Maybe I should have just said attachment options.:)

That looks great. I like that size of knife, very useful for lots of things and will clean a trout like nobody's business. Once I settle on a pack setup (mainly need to go shopping for a good one) then I will definitely be adding a small, think, knife like that to the straps. Great place to carry one.

One idea for future sheaths. This comes from the way the Graham brothers do theirs. Only rivet it a couple of times in key locations. The rest of the necessary holes can simply be holes in the kydex for the various attachments. This will help reduce weight and such. I'm like you, I like options and will often switch attachment and locations. Part of the fun for me is the experimentation.
