Let me start by saying that there has been some very nice knives posted as of late! I also wanted to say what a great place this sub forum is and I will give a few examples. A while back Charlie (Waynorth) posted a few pictures of a Remington Muskrat that he tried to bend, straighten out one of the blades and ended up with a two piece blade:eek:. Being the gentleman that he is, he ended up sending me the knife for pattern use. I have really been interested in pushing my limits and building multi-blade patterns that have that difficulty factor. This knife sure fit that bill! I had started the knife before going on a very event filled 2 week road trip with my wife Nettie. On the way we stopped in and spent a day and half with Elliott and Tina. They showed us a really nice time and are fantastic hosts! (Thanks Elliott and Tina). After returning back I got back in the shop and finished the "rat" Hope you enjoy the pictures and thanks to everyone for making this place special. Let me also say this knife is NOT available.

I tried to make this knife true to form as possible.

My Jigged bone scales, dark brown

No half stops as was on the Remington

Ken, it was a pleasure for us having you and Nettie visit our humble home. Looking forward to the next time and better weather.

Oh, and the knife looks a lot better than it did when you brought it here! ;)

Congrats to you and Charlie!

Ken, you hit another one out of the ballpark. The scales on that knife are stunning.

Simply fantastic that one is an instant "Classic".

OMG!!!
At first glance I nearly fell off my chair!!
Amazing knife Ken!
That double end backspring, with catch bits, has gotta give a maker a case of the fits!!
I'm gonna be peeking out the mail slot, waiting to bark at the Postman!!!

Ken,it's beautiful ! The knives you build, are amazing
Congrat's on that ,Charlie & Ken & thanks for showing us.

Ken, once again, it is difficult to put into words how much I admire your work. I only hope to be able to buy one of your beautiful pieces one day. Thanks for sharing!

I love it, Ken. It's one of the most graceful knives you've built, and Charlie's a lucky guy.

Interesting, and very cool. Did you "krink" the blades? And what's the overall handle thickness?

pinned catch bits

What's a 'catch bit'?

Ken - very nice job on that handle. Part of what draws me to the premium Stockman is that nice serpentine curve. There's a very nice, subtle 'flow' to your handle. The bone jigging is amazing as well.

Oh yeah, those blades are kinda cool, too. ;)

thx - cpr

Once again, awesome work. I would love to have a custom like that.
